How to manually upload a payment file

1. Open the payment menu

Select the BACS actions menu, followed by your payment menu (the example below uses the Direct Debit menu and a csv file).

Tip There are a couple of ways to upload a file: automatically (if using PASS and File Sweeping), or manually once the file has been created. Files created using a MIS can be uploaded once created, or you can create a csv file to upload. See the support guide on creating a csv file here.

2. Click Upload file

Click the Upload file button.

3. Add the file

On the pop-up window, either drag and drop the file into the small file window or click on the paper clip icon to search for the file.

4. Select and upload

A File explorer window will pop up, which allows you to navigate to the location of the payment file. Select the file and click on the Open button. You will now see the file ready in the file select window. Select the Upload button to continue.

5. Refresh recent batches

After manually uploading a file, you must press the Recent batches refresh icon to show the recent file. Once refreshed, the newly uploaded file appears and you can continue as normal with the payment file. Click here for full instructions on how to process a payment file.

Alert If the file has a valid format, the Warnings section will show the message "No warnings". Otherwise the file format is invalid and cannot be processed further. Please re-check the file format, or reach out to [email protected] if you have any further issues.
