We’ve introduced even more new updates in March across esenda to give schools greater visibility, control, and flexibility when managing payments.

Here's what's new:

Flexible Payment Links

Payment links are now more adaptable to a wider range of scenarios.

You can create links without a fixed amount, allowing parents to choose how much they’d like to pay. This is particularly useful for donations, fundraising, ad hoc contributions, or situations where a set value isn’t required.

For schools, this means fewer links to manage and greater flexibility in how payments are collected, without adding complexity to the process.

Smarter Invoice Payments

For schools using WCBS, we’ve improved the invoice payment experience to reduce friction at the point of payment.

Where information is available, key details such as pupil code and billing account code are now automatically populated after the parent enters their email address. This removes the need for manual entry, speeds up the process, and reduces the risk of errors.

The result is a faster, more seamless journey for parents, and fewer payment issues for school teams.

Enhanced Card Statements for Easier Reconciliation

We’ve made further improvements to the Card Statements module to give finance teams clearer visibility over payments.

Additional detail is now easily accessible within the module, including information such as pupil name and invoice number. This makes it much easier to understand and reconcile extras payments without needing to cross-reference multiple systems.

These insights can also be carried through into exported reports, helping streamline reconciliation and reduce manual effort.

Improved eMandate Experience for Parents

We’ve enhanced the eMandate journey to make it clearer and more reassuring for parents.

Additional context is now provided throughout the process, along with a summary screen that allows parents to review all details before confirming. This helps ensure accuracy, builds confidence, and reduces the likelihood of errors or follow-up queries.

Importantly, the underlying process for the school remains unchanged, just simpler and more transparent from a parent’s perspective.
