Resetting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA)

User Guide: Resetting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA)

Overview

Schools can reset a user's Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA).

If you know who your school's administrator is, they can complete this process directly through User Management.

If you are the only admin for your school, you will need to contact esenda support to reset it for you.

Accessing User Management

  1. Log in to the application with an Administrator account.
  2. Click the Settings menu (the three dots in the top-right corner).
  3. Select User Management.

Resetting a User's MFA

  1. In User Management, search for the user whose MFA needs to be reset.
  2. Select the user from the search results.
  3. Choose Reset User Account.
  4. Confirm the reset when prompted.

This action will reset the user's account, including their registered Multi-Factor Authentication (2FA). The user will be required to set up MFA again the next time they sign in.

Other User Management Functions

The User Management page also allows administrators to:

  • Create new users
  • Delete users
  • Reset user accounts (including resetting MFA/2FA)
