Creating a New User and Assigning Permissions

Administrators can create new user accounts and assign the appropriate permissions directly through the User Management section of the esenda school portal.

Accessing User Management

  1. Log in to the application with an Administrator account.
  2. Click the Settings menu (the three dots in the top-right corner).
  3. Select User Management.

Creating a New User

  1. In User Management, select Create New User.
  2. Enter the user's email address
  3. Assign their permissions (these can be amended at any time)
  4. Create the new user.

The user account will be created and the new user will receive an email asking them to activate their account.

Viewing Existing Permissions

To review a user's current access:

  1. Search for the user in User Management.
  2. Select the user.
  3. Choose Show User Permissions to view their assigned permissions.

Best Practice

Assign only the permissions required for the user's role. This helps maintain the security of your organisation's data and ensures users have access only to the features they need.
