Requesting Administrator Access

Administrator access cannot be assigned from within the portal.

To ensure the security of your organisation's data, all requests to upgrade a user to an Administrator role must be authorised by your organisation's Contract Signatory.

Requesting Administrator Access

If a user needs to be upgraded from a standard user to an Administrator, the organisation's Contract Signatory must email [email protected].

NOTE- Before esenda support can upgrade a user to admin access, you must first create the user within your school portal.

The email should include:

  • The full name of the user
  • The user's email address
  • A request for the user to be upgraded to an Administrator

Who Can Make the Request?

Only the organisation's Contract Signatory can authorise changes to Administrator access.

Requests submitted by other users cannot be processed.

What Happens Next?

Once the request has been received and verified, the esenda Support team will update the user's account with Administrator permissions.

The user will be notified once the change has been completed.

Sole Administrator Warning

If your organisation has only one Administrator, you'll see a warning at the top of Settings > User Management:

Only one organisation admin is configured

You are currently the sole admin for this organisation. We recommend adding another admin in case you are unavailable. Contact [email protected] to set one up.

This warning is a prompt, not a fault. Your portal will continue to work as normal. It appears so you know that if your Administrator is on leave or unavailable, no one else can approve permission changes, reset accounts or manage users.

To add a second Administrator:

  1. Create the user in your school portal.
  2. Ask your organisation's Contract Signatory to email [email protected] with the request, following the steps above.

The warning will disappear once a second Administrator is in place.
